The Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave is on again in a few weeks and once again, Catherine’s Cutting It is holding a fundraising event on March 23, 2013.
Last year, with the help of our fantastic sponsors, we were able to raise over $30,000 which went to research and support services for people suffering from this terrible disease. Visitors to the event last year included NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell and Lord Mayor of Parramatta, John Chedid, along with over 1000 visitors.
To highlight the unity between Local Council, Local Business and Community Groups, Holroyd City Council are assisting with the organization of a Local Small Business Festival in conjunction with the fundraising day for The World’s Greatest Shave at Maple St Park. A number of local business’ have donated their support to showcase what they can offer to the community of Greystanes.
Like last year, the event will include a number of fundraising activities including a barbeque, raffles and silent auctions, and to coincide with the grand opening of Catherine’s Cutting It Spikey Tails Hardressing for Kids, we will be holding a Hair Fashion Show.
Negotiations are underway with local high profile people to be involved in auctions to shave their hair.
Other businesses that are supporting the event are: Holroyd’s Small Business of the Year 2012 Allina Collections, Holroyd’s Specialty Small Business of the Year 2012 Enchanted Wonderland, Holroyd’s Young Business, Manny Laris of Powergirl Fitness, Pacific National, Linda Jewelery & Co, Woolworths Pemulwuy to name just a few.
We’d love to see as many people from the community at our special fundraising day for the World’s Greatest Shave. Donations are welcome online at http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/TeamPage.aspx?teamID=72697
